Making a Booking

Version: v1.0
Last Updated: June 6, 2026

Bookings cover hotels, rentals, and services. Each works differently, but all create a booking you can manage from the Bookings section.

Hotel bookings

Typical flow:

  1. Open a hotel
  2. Choose check-in and check-out dates
  3. Select a room type
  4. Review the pricing breakdown
  5. Apply any voucher if supported
  6. Choose one of the available payment methods
  7. Confirm the booking

What you may see in the pricing:

  • room rate
  • nights
  • service charge
  • deposit or prepayment requirements where applicable

Rental bookings

Rental bookings are more operationally detailed than a simple hotel booking.

Typical flow:

  1. Open the rental item
  2. Choose the item or variant
  3. Select the rental period
  4. Choose the fulfillment mode:
    • delivery
    • pickup
  5. Review pricing, including any deposit/security hold behavior
  6. Apply a voucher if available
  7. Select one of the allowed payment methods
  8. Confirm the booking

Important note:

  • delivery-mode rentals may later involve outbound and return/collection tracking steps
  • pickup-mode rentals follow a different handoff pattern

Services bookings

Typical flow:

  1. Open the service
  2. Choose the professional if the provider allows selection
  3. Pick an available slot
  4. Review the booking summary
  5. Apply a voucher if available
  6. Choose a payment method
  7. Confirm the booking

Services bookings are usually about time-slot readiness rather than delivery tracking.

Payment methods for bookings

The methods shown depend on the live booking context.

You may see:

  • online card
  • mobile money
  • cash at check-in
  • card at check-in
  • cash at pickup
  • card at pickup

Some bookings require an online amount up front even if the full balance is settled later.

See Payment Methods and Gift Vouchers.

Vouchers

Where supported, vouchers can be entered during the booking flow before final payment.

The effect depends on:

  • the booking marketplace
  • the selected currency
  • the available payment structure for that booking

After confirmation

After confirming a booking, you can manage it from Bookings.

Open the booking to review:

  • the reference
  • dates / schedule
  • partner details
  • payment state
  • readiness / progress
  • cancellation options where available

Cancellations and policy differences

Hotels, rentals, and services do not all follow one universal cancellation rule.

Each booking follows the policy shown in that marketplace and provider flow. Depending on the case, that may mean:

  • free cancellation up to a cut-off
  • a partial refund
  • a penalty
  • a non-refundable stage after a deadline

See Cancellations and Refunds.
